Chalet Rose-et-Lys is perfect for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon, a girl’s weekend, a work retreat or a family vacation.
Chalet Rose-et-Lys was built in 2010. This beautiful and modern, designer interior means you will enjoy the luxuries of a 4 star cottage while in a beautiful lakeside setting. In the summer, enjoy hiking and swimming in the beautiful, clean lake as well as the use of our canoe, kayak, pedal boat and fishing boat. In the winter, enjoy the hot-tub on the deck plus outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice skating. Chalet Rose-et-Lys is west facing on 150 feet of waterfront. Experience the sunsets from the swing down by the waterfront or on the deck.
Keep the bird feeders topped up and you will have hummingbirds in the summer and an almost endless stream of birds in the winter.

Accommodations
The cottage was once a model home in the Salon de l’Habitation in Montreal (2009). The interior finishing, kitchen cabinets, bathroom, wall coverings, flooring, and even exterior lighting and trim were selected by interior designers to showcase new materials. The house is equipped with an air-heat exchanger keeping the cottage well ventilated and warm in all seasons.
Living / dining / kitchen
The living and dining rooms are surrounded by windows with beautiful views in all directions and you can walk out to the large deck with tempered glass railing. The dining table when folded is intimate for 2 to 4 people, but expands to comfortably seat 8. An electric fireplace adds warmth to the room. The modern galley style designer kitchen has ceramic cooktop, oven, stainless appliances, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and is well supplied with all that you need (including kitchen basics such as herbs, salt / pepper etc). Kitchen linen is included.
Sleeping
All bed linen is included in the rental price. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and 8 foot patio doors on the deck. The clerestory windows allow you to lie in bed and see the stars or the moon. The second bedroom on the main floor has a queen size bed and cedar lined walls. The third bedroom, at ground level below, has a walk out to the firepit. This room is furnished with a double pull out couch and a single futon.
Bathroom
The designer bathroom has a large walk-in shower, rainfall shower-head, and waterfall taps at the double sink. The 9 foot ceilings and a window that open keep it bright and airy. Inside towels are included in the rental cost, but please bring your own beach towels.
Outside
A kayak, canoe, pedal boat and fishing boat with electric motor are provided during the summer and fall. The cottage faces the setting sun and the beach area is sunny all afternoon. A comfortable swing and hammock by the water is a great place for enjoying the sunsets or a cup of morning coffee. The lake water is very clear for swimming and we always get a great rating for water quality. The firepit has a fantastic view over the lake.
Roddick Lake is near Bouchette, in Quebec about 1.5 hours North of Ottawa. It is a beautiful lake over 6km long and very popular for boating and fishing. You can go hiking on the beautiful trail up to the lookout, explore the small islands on the lake, take a short drive away for a game of golf or visit the deer at a local sanctuary in Ste-Therese de la Gatineau. It is also close to white-water on the Gatineau River.

We loved the kayak and the paddle boat but especially the boat with the motor! This is our 2nd visit here and it's still lovely; even on rainy days. Jennie: This cottage is very lovely and comfy. The pillows are comfy and so is the beds!! The lake is calm and when it is not calm its fun to swim. I loved the frezzies!
OMG. What a nice and quite cottage. It is very clean, comfy and everything is available. My kids didn't want to leave. We had a great time. The sandy, shallow beach is excellent for children.

What a lovely stay! The cottage had everything we could need and was very peaceful. While we had a few rainy/cloudy days, Andrew made use of them by golfing at the course that's nearby! We will recommend to anyone looking for a cottage rental!
Everything was perfect - this is our second time renting here and we'll be sure to come again. One of our favourite vacations spots - it's quickly becoming a summer tradition for us.
